In October 2023 we started work on the new section of the River Bend Trail. A small group of volunteers helped clear a path through the woods to the east of the Water Treatment Plant. We cleared a path along the Wisconsin River.
Remnants of the old fish hatchery are still located along the new section of the trail. We now have a path toward Big Eddy Rd as we head toward Wausau. Future plans for this area is for it to be a rustic trail through the woods. This will make fishing more accessible also.
