We hope you are enjoying walking and biking the River Bend Trail. If you aren’t sure where to get on the trail this information should be helpful. One access point is on South Park St. There is room there to park a car near the metal building that will become the Agra Pavilion in the near future. Across from the pavilion is a green space that will be Rotary Park. Parking is available there for now. More information about those two locations will be provided as it becomes available. We are working with the City of Merrill to add parking spaces and a cul-de-sac on South Park St. with a sidewalk leading to the trail. Another parking spot to access the trail is near the Weinbrenner Outlet Store. If you are walking or biking you can hop on the trail by the 6th Ward Bridge on W. Main St. near Cottage St. or where it crosses State or Genesee Sts. The length of the trail from Park St. to Polk St. behind the Weinbrenner Factory is 1.2 miles. From Polk St. to W. Main St. is .5 miles. If you are going out to the MARC it is 1.3 miles from there. A future addition from Park St. to Cooper St. will be another .6 miles. We hope you will continue to use the trail all year long.
